It is fully multi-user and can run on a server or a peer-to-peer PC network. The Synagogue Membership and Subscription System is an advanced filing system that keeps records of members and their families. It can handle families, single parent families and single persons, with a separate membership name, mailing label name as well as separate surnames for each person.
The membership record holds details of membership type, other family billing details, addresses, telephone numbers, email, burial scheme membership and Gift Aid details amongst others.
A membership record also contains a separate record for each member of the family to maintain names (Hebrew and English), age, sex, marital status, seat bookings, high-holyday seat locations, family groupings, religious matters including Cohen/Levy, yahrzeits, anniversaries, activities, specialities, sub-committees, societies, religion classes, youth clubs, and other required information. Individuals (or their parents) can be easily mailed or listed according to any combination of these categories.
Billing is done automatically according to the individual parameters of each member, and Bills and Reminders are printed or reprinted at will. The system records the bills; cash received is keyed in, and full listings are available of day-books, analyses, debtors, audit-trails, Gift-Aid due and other reports as required. Billing parameters can include membership-type, discounts, seats, locker usage, cheder charges, burial-scheme fees, Board of Deputy payments as well as others to be defined by the user.
A full debtors ledger is provided with controls. For accounting purposes the system can either accept Excel or similar spreadsheets containing bank payments and analyses and it can download bills and payments for keyed entry into an accounting system (e.g. Sage). Income tax Gift-Aid is provided for and the Income Tax repayment claim schedule can be produced automatically. Gift-Aid can be collected on various membership subscriptions but also on any donations and gifts made by members.
Burial scheme membership is recorded with plot numbers. Various standard burial reports can be printed.
Yahrzeit or Anniversaries of the death of a loved one are recorded and each week a list can be printed of those due. In advance a mailshot reminder to mourners can be printed and mailed.
For High-Holidays alternative prayer venues can be defined and the system will automatically distribute member's families to each venue. Groups of families will be kept together and leaders, wardens and security personnel can be manually allocated to venues. Admission tickets can be printed.
Passwords are required to protect privacy of all parts of the system. The system allows all records to be updated, new items to be inserted and old ones deleted.
Integral with the software is a powerful reporting program and the user can run any of the over 60 supplied reports and is also able to modify data selections. Lists or Mailing Labels can be transferred to the word processor for production of mailing shots, etc. Tables can be transferred to a spreadsheet for further analysis.
For security, the system will backup the data to floppy disks, local computer or any point on your network. This should be run regularly, it is quick and efficient.

The system will run on a single PC Computer or networked PC Computers under Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000 and XP. A Unix version is available but on a different price list.
The cost of the software includes installation and 1 days training. It may include conversion of your old data in some cases but mostly this will cost extra.
Prices are quoted in British Pounds and in Euro and VAT at the current rate must be added.

- Workstation: 64MB and less than 5MB, Full colour monitor with screen resolution 640 x 480 pixels.
- Printers: A4 Inkjet or Laser printer that runs under Windows systems above.
